Elizabeth Sloan

Elizabeth Sloan, L.P.C, L.C.P.C, is Clinical Director of Caring Couples, Happy Lives. She specializes in couples communication, physical intimacy, affairs, online infidelity, and love & sex addiction. She uses the principles of positive psychology with clients, and provides happiness coaching for individuals and couples. She has a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Maryland, and is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, an indication of specialized training and expertise in the field. She has taken many post-Master's classes to keep up-to-date with new treatments in the profession.

Hope James

Hope James, M.S., has several years’ experience helping couples, families, children, adolescents, and adults with a wide range of concerns, including relationship problems, anxiety, depression, life adjustment, parent-child problems, and family conflict. She has a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Virginia Tech University, and is a member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, an indication of specialized training and expertise in the field. She emphasizes a collaborative approach to help people see new possibilities, identify and use their strengths, and take concrete steps to achieve their goals. She has worked in community clinics and agencies, psychiatric hospitals, and in private practice.
